| studying at dusk chapter one only required one Kit Kat bar |
Technically, I suppose I'm almost always studying. When I count something, I try to count in Spanish. When I spell something, I try and do it in Spanish. When I'm assembling cheap furniture from IKEA, I'm memorizing vocabulary. When I'm riding the metro, I'm working on vocab or listening to Spanish study cd's on my iPod. When I'm grocery shopping, you get the idea :).
I'm pretty excited for the day when I can chat with people. I didn't realize how many random conversations I had in the states with people while standing in line, store clerks, postal workers, or whoever until I realized that I can't do that as easily here. Much less have a deep conversation.
It'll come. And you can feel free to pray for us, if you would :).

Mmmm...Kit Kat bars.
Don't forget to brush after studying.
Glad to hear you're doing well.
Look up this phrase:
"Abra la boca, por favor"
That's the extent of my spanish phrasology.
Enjoying your blog when I remember! It is beautiful there. Your constant study is so good and it will be so wonderful when you are bilingual!
I will keep praying for you, thanks for sharing.
I kind of love that my dentist is following my blog! I'm brushing, thanks for your concern :).
Also, that's a great phrase for you to know :).
So, how long to you all expect it to be (generally) before you think you might be able to have a conversation? Just wondering so we can pray more specifically for the learning process.
It depends on the conversation. I can manage very, very simple ones at this point. I'm trying to build up my vocabulary and get the various grammar things consistent. The ability to speak fluently seems very far away right now, but I'm working on it :). Thanks for praying!
